Amsterdam Centre for Insurance Studies
The Amsterdam Centre for Insurance Studies (ACIS) is a initiative of the Faculty of Economics and Business and the Faculty of Law of the University of Amsterdam.
ACIS is a multidisciplinairy community of approximately 25 researchers from home and abroad: excellent professors, promising researchers and talented Ph.D students who are in most cases also lecturer at the Master Insurance Studies of the Amsterdam Business School of the University of Amsterdam.
The management of ACIS consists of Dr. Marc Hendrikse (among other things programmedirector of the Master Insurance Studies, associate professor at the Open University of The Netherlands) and Prof. dr. Antoon Pelsser (professor of Market-consistent Valuation of Insurance Contracts at the Faculty of Economics and Business of the University of Amsterdam)
ACIS has been established in co-operation with the Dutch Association of Insurers which put at ACIS’s disposal a starting-up subsidy.
