HFMWeek talked to three industry experts about the opportunities the Netherlands to provide hedge funds, the country’s growth prospects and the impact of EU regulation.

Sven Bouman (Seamor Capital): 'The Netherlands is often called 'the gateway to Europe', being idially situated near the UK, Germany, France and Belgium'.

Remco Bleijs (Ernst & Young): 'The biggest cities, Amsterdam, Utrecht, The Hague and Rotterdam, are all good places for families and for having a good time'.

Pieter-Jan van der Pols (Circle Partners): 'The economic crisis and Euro-scepticism do have a negative impact on business development and growth of hedge fund assets, but we are confident that we will see an upturn in the near future'.
